On 10 September, a Technical Day dedicated to the automatic calibration of multichannel pipettes using the AP-12/12.5Y was held at the RADWAG France headquarters in Villefranche-sur-Saône. The event was aimed at specialists interested in modern pipette calibration solutions.
The programme began with an overview of RADWAG’s range of equipment designed for micropipette calibration; the offer included both manual and semi-automatic methods with the AP-12/12.5Y. Participants then had the opportunity to witness the demonstration of the system in action, during which its capabilities were showcased under real-world working conditions.
A key element of the event was the presentations by invited experts. Cécile Jonquet from PREVENTI gave a lecture on improving operational efficiency through proper risk management and the impact of choosing technical solutions on health and safety.
The second lecture was delivered by Kévin Hivet from GSD Calibration. In his presentation, he discussed the impact of the calibration methods for multichannel pipettes – channel-by-channel and simultaneous calibration using the AP-12/12.5Y – on measurement uncertainty, process efficiency and compliance with the requirements of ISO 8655. The lecture was supplemented by case studies illustrating the practical application of the device in question.
The event concluded with an open discussion, during which participants shared their experiences and asked questions about the practical aspects of pipette calibration.
We would like to thank the guests for attending in such large numbers, for their active participation and for the inspiring discussions. Special thanks go to the RADWAG France team for their professional organisation of the event.
