On June 7th, 2018, RADWAG organized a seminar concerning the issues of automation of weighing processes in laboratory. We had a great pleasure to host over 50 guests who were representatives of pharmaceutical companies, laboratories, the Central Office of Measures and other institutions. The guests got acquainted with the latest solutions aiding and improving weighing processes in laboratory. During the workshops part, our experts presented the criteria for selection and preparation of the weighing instrument to work. They also discussed the influence of ambient conditions and electrostatic charges on the measurement. The following issues were raised: measurement of small masses, weighing with 0.1 mg ÷ 1 µg readability, control process of piston pipettes volume, weighing instruments and mass standards quality control, optimization of the drying process. We also presented the possibility of remote communication with the laboratory balances via mobile applications.
