The International Congress on Combustion Engines is a periodic event that aims to exchange experiences in science, research, and industry by specialists representing these areas. RADWAG demonstrated a device that can be used for measuring mass of particulate matter emitted by combustion engines. The abovementioned UMA 2.4Y.F. automatic weighing system is used, for example, to evaluate the mass emission of particulate matter from internal combustion engines. The results presented in the poster, which we also shared with congress attendees, show that the use of our UMA 2.415Y.F automatic system in particulate mass measurements increases the accuracy of the analysis (by 15 times, according to research) over traditional manual systems that are used in most laboratories. The research was carried out by the Exhaust Emission Laboratory of the Automotive Research and Development Institute of BOSMAL Sp. z o.o. in Bielsko-Biała. In addition, the automatic system is ergonomic (eliminates the time-consuming activities typical for weighing of filters, mass standards and reference filters) and complies with EU 2017/1151 requirements.
The congress was organized by the Polish Scientific Society of Combustion Engines in cooperation with the Mechanical Engineering Faculty of the Lublin University of Technology. We would like to sincerely thank all visitors and encourage you to attend the next edition in 2022.
This year there were 130 attendees from multiple countries, and 30 of them participated remotely. RADWAG was represented by Karol Lesica, Export Coordinator for UK & Ireland, and Radosław Wilk, Laboratory Products Manager and Senior Product Trainer.
